I just thought I would relay this small bit of insanity... because I know everyone cares so much about what occurs in my life. The upshot is it will give everyone a great idea of what kind of growth and busiment (I like inventing words) I am going through.

First of all, and most important: I am getting married on July 9th. That's 3 days...dear god... 3 days!

Between now and then I have 2 press releases and one yesterday that will be released (possibly 3).

Next week I have 5 press releases scheduled in addition to a miriad of other events including starting work with a new major client (Matrix Games sized), an online chat with the development team behind Flashpoint Germany, and following up on my recent trip to Origins with a bunch of distributors, reviewers, and general game designers.

The week after I leave for a 10 day honeymoon, returning on the 28th. 3 days of this honeymoon will be spent house shopping in Oregon. We are still deciding between Bend and Corvallis.

I return the 28th and leave the 1st for the WBC in Lancaster PA. I'll be spending just under a week at the World Boardgame Championship. When I return I plan starting collaberation with another medium sized client. On the 16th I leave for Gencon for another week. I return around the 22nd.

Somewhere in there other clients want help and new press releases will undoubtedly be added.

I have the suspicion I am going to need to hire someone much sooner. The thought now occurs to me that I could have had it easy with a 9-5 job :-)

-Joe

Corvallis is great, nice little town with resonable housing prices.

Congrats.

I went to college in Corvallis. It's a very pleasant small country town. (Especially in the summer, when the kids are out of school.) It has rainy winters like all of the Willamette Valley. Corvallis is slow moving and quiet, most of the economy driven by OSU and HP.

I've spent many weeks vacationing in in the Bend area since I was a child. Bigger town with a bit more to do (Mt Bachellor) and a drier climate year round (east side of the mountains.) Bend is growing and driven a lot by tourism. I love the climate (dry and snowy in the winter, warm and sunny in the summer), but I'd prefer to visit rather than live there.

Both towns have a bit of redneckness too them, but the student population in Corvallis balances it out somewhat.

Good luck.

Bwahaha, a few rednecks? I live in CENTRAL florida in a town better known as "The Swamp."

I think I can handle myself around rednecks (fire your shotgun, drink your beer)

:)

Ty for all the info though, wedding went terriffic!
