Hi!

Industrial Ball is an amazing arcanoid with an industrial style. Over 75 levels, 14 bonuses, 10 unique backgrounds.

Maybe download the BreakQuest demo and compare the two, that should tell you more than I could

Your presentation is great, I love the industrial theme. Graphics, sounds, backgrounds etc.. all come together nicely.

My only complaint: I've played this game before :) Probably 300 times over the years. If you want to differentiate yourself from the myriad other clones out there, you'll need a new twist of some sort.

Of course, you'll probably prove me wrong, as I know from personal experience that innovation scares the average consumer. :D

Good. But somehow there was a big delay in some cases...

It's obvious you spent some time on the graphics and on the design aspects of this game. I like the industrial theme. And I liked the extra points bonuses.

But there's no high score page, no save game feature, no way to control the sound level, no in-game music, and no way to control the difficulty level.

There seems to be a delay between the time the ball hits the exploding bricks (the ones that set off a chain reaction) and when they actually explode. And all the bricks explode with exactly the same sound. It gets very repetitive after a few levels.

9 lives seems like a lot to start with but the ball does get very fast very quickly. A way to select different difficulty levels could solve this.

I didn't like how fast the game zapped my last brick. If I didn't hit it right away it just disappeared and the level was over. Maybe give the player a little more time.

All these issues aside, I think drastik was right. This game has been done to death. Even for someone like me who loves breakout type games this one just isn't very interesting. Yes, I like th basic concept of bat, ball and bricks and you shouldn't change that. But there is no goal like getting the rings in Ricochet Lost Worlds. For that matter, there is no user made levels like Ricochet Lost Worlds, no coins to catch like Riotball, no gnomes to bounce like Jardinains and no anything like Breakquest. All these games offer something different and have added something new to the genre.

In my opinion, there is a good base here. It just needs some work on the basics and then something... well, special, different. Even if your market is Mac users, you still need to give them something they can't get anywhere else.
