I'm just wondering what the computer systems are, that indie devlopers are running? So, that would include ram, cpu and graphics card.
Thanks to anyone that cares to list their details :)

Asus P4S800D-E motherboard (sis 655tx chipset)
2 samsung 120 GB SATA drives in raid1
Radeon 9800 pro
512 meg dual ddr
This is a really fast machine, at least it seems fast to me... I had some problems achieving 100% stability with the overclock until I got one of those massive zallman 7000 fan/heatsinks.... There does seem to be a really annoying bug in the sis chipset though- my new game runs at 160 fps when HT is enabled, but 370 fps when it's disabled.... I have tried everything to correct it...
I have a bunch of others for testing and stuff, but that's my main one.

... amusingly the laptop actually has almost exactly 1/10th as much total hard drive space as the desktop. I use both for development (about 75% / 25%) due to computer sharing in this household. I have little desire to upgrade at this point (although a slightly faster laptop would be nice). I've had faster machines in the past but frankly they didn't help me get any work done any faster. Now I just spend the extra 15 seconds of recompile time going over notes and making lists-- and I think it actually improves my ability to complete tasks. :)

my machine has 1.5gig of ram (I upgraded for star wars galaxies). but heres the interesting bit...
CPU : No idea
Video card : Geforce something
Yup thats right, off the top of my head I have no idea. and I LOVE games (just about to play some Thief2/sims2 or COD).
Yes folks, we have reached a level of hardware now where even some gamers and game developers ahve stopped caring what their specs are ;)
Maybe thats just me...

Like many others, I don't see much point in upgrading my primary system at this time. At best I'd add some more ram and a new video card, just to play some of the more recent games (like Thief 3), but the other two are just fine for what I use them for (testing and the kids).

I might upgrade the motherboard/processor on my main cpu once half-life 2 comes out, or definitely when Elder Scrolls: Oblivion comes out in a couple years. Not much motivation otherwise.
I need to get an older iBook sometime also and get acquainted with the Mac world also.
