View Full Version : Feedback Request: GEOM demo v1.4

We made couple of changes according to this thread: http://forums.indiegamer.com/showthread.php?t=3366 (some are still to come) and now we have released Geom v1.4

I would like you to check out the demo: www.geomgame.com/download.php and tell me how well the demo manages to drive people to purchasing the game.

- Is the 5 min run time limit too short?
- Tell me what you think about the other demo limitations (shown in nag screen and inside the demo when 5 mins runs out, there's also 5 launch limit)
- please tell us what is WORST and what is the BEST in demo.
- tell us how you would improve the demo to make the game more appealing to purchase.

As per your questions, I think the most important thing here is that you've got a fun, original, visually appealing game.

I found the 'nag' screens unobtrusive, and the 5 limit more than enough to whet my appetite.

One suggestion from personal experience, the time limit is fine, but the usage restriction is a big turn off. Leave them wanting more, but don't be cheap with the free stuff. Give them time to work themselves up to the purchase and evaluate the product at their leisure.

Another small thing I noticed. I clicked the 'key' button experimentally, then clicked cancel. This simply launched the game, effectively using up another of my 5 sessions. I imagine this should simply return me to the purchase menu?
