Hey gang,

I'm using google like a madman, but am getting curious about developing some quick (*laugh*) games using Shockwave Director..

Can anyone recommend a good starting point (games-wise) for it? Either a URL or a book is fine..

I'm well versed in 3D concepts, if that makes any difference (ie. I need a beginning starting point for Director programming but not really 3d programming)..

thanks guys!

Here are a few. They are not game specific, except for the first link, but the should prove helpful:

Here is one of the best resources I've used over the years, Director Web. It includes an archive of the Direct-L mailing listserv:

I highly recommend DirGames-L (D-Guy already posted the link).

DirGames-L is focused on games and there are quite a few developers on there who do 3D games (including myself ;) ). Whenever I run into a problem, I always search their archive before I even use Google. Also, a few folks from Macromedia post there occasionally.

I also highly recommend the book, "Director's Third Dimension" by Paul Catanese. I'd say it's pretty much the Bible for creating Director 3D games.
