I have made my first ever low budget game based on puzzle genre, The graphics are made entirely from microsoft paint ,and the music are compiled from a trial version of midi music maker (poor me ).
So far , I have received 0 sales with the game LOL , luckily i have got a full time job (as a quality Engineer which i detest it so much :p ).
the game can be downloaded from
http://www.funpcgame.com

Any honest feedback & comment would be greatly appreciated :D
Below are some of the comments by my hardcore gaming friends
1 ) the graphic sucks major a*s ?
2 ) What is that bouching ugly sh*t ?
3 ) Rubbish
4 ) why the graphic so horrible ?
I know that my second will be better

Well it's pretty amazing quality for ms paint and midi maker. Thats about the worst tools a guy can have.
You need to dramatically improve graphics and sound, and change the quality of your website to match. Then you might expect sales. But only if you market your game. Yes, a lot more work needs to be done for money.

It's the kind of game people would have thought "amazing!!" when they had windows 95...
Keep going and your games will improve - then you'll get more sales.
You should also optimise your site a lot - the title gif alone is nearly 400k. I think there's at least a meg of data on that front page alone :)

I've seen worse.
No, really! The graphics level you've achieved does have a happy little bundled-with-win95 feeling. I wouldn't expect to pay for a game looking like that, but neither would I laugh at it if I saw it on a freeware site. This already puts you a step up from some people's first games. :)
People are shallow. Razzle-dazzle is important to sales. :)

It's highly recommended that the price be on your website as well. One shouldn't have to go to RegNow to find out. ;)

I think it's a fantastic job, especially with the tools you used! If you can do that well with such a limited toolset, I can only imagine what you could do with some real firepower! Great job and keep it up!

I think you should make new website, this one is really bad. Even some template would do better. You've there too much graphics and bad styling.
I didn't understood your game and tutorial link on your website don't work, so I couldn't play it :)
About the MS Paint ... that's my favourite gfx editor, its much better than photoshop for many things for me. I've made this one with ms paint (pixel art is my hobby:)):

So he can have better graphics without using other tools :D

I've never thought that graphic would be one of the key selling points , i guess i'm being naive and foolish for so long .
with all the critical feedbacks that i gained from Indie veterans , now i can be sure that there are lots of works to be done to get the "1" st sales .
May success be with you all :D

I couldn't even get the page to load, the load progress bar goes to full and just stays there... :(

Well, the graphics (via screen shots) are the first thing the visitor will see, and they need to catch their attention. If not, they'll assume the gameplay is equal to the quality of graphics and move on.

The program you used to make the graphics has go to go! I think it's Xara3d that you used. If you have people who use dial up then they will not like that they have to download 400kb (plus each of the side bars on the left are maybe 40kb each ;)) of image on the website alone when your game is just about 1000kb :)
I think you should take some time to learn about how to make better websites. Listen to JiriNovotny. Maybe look at some website templates to get an idea on how you can style everything?
Also, because you used frames for the layout, and you made it so there are no scroll bars, if you have someone looking at your website in a lower resolution then they will have content that they cannot see. If you use DIVs and CSS you can get some really good results... something to research.
