I'm looking for somebody to put together a web site for my indie game dev company. Something fairly small - main page, a template for a standard 'games' page, and 4 or 5 of the other usual suspects (About Us, FAQ, etc).
That said, I'd like the site to look cool, and I need someone who can not only assemble the site in Dreamweaver or whatever, but also create the graphics for the site. A little Flash wizz-bang would be nice, but not necessary.
E-mail me links to a couple of sites you've done, and an idea of your prices.

If all you're looking for is a template I would go with these guys. http://www.templatemonster.com/
They give you the photoshop files required to change logos etc. If that isnt good enough, I would still recommend you start off with this method. When you go to a professional for website design + branding its alot easier to start off with something that somewhat fits your end design.

Truth be told, I'm not a fan of the work at Template Monster. It's not that it isn't high quality. But a lot of it has a very similar (shiny, flashy) look, which I for one instantly associate with Template Monster.
I can't tell you how many times I've looked at a hosting company's website and got that 'Template Monster' feeling.

true a lot of the template monster templates (and most others) are just flashy and not as professional as they should be, but there are a some gems there, you just have to search...
on that note, do you know any other template sites that have more professional designs than template monster? all the template sites i've found are just affiliates or contain the same templates...

Not really, I'm rather out of the loop now days.
If you just want nice designs for inspiration, I like to check http://cssvault.com/ and http://www.csszengarden.com/ .
The only other template website I can think of is http://www.pixellogo.com/ . I like their logos, but as for their web templates, I'm not even sure they arn't just a TM reseller as well.

I think using template monster (or stock template service) is a good first step, even if its just to get your ideas out. this will save you alot of time when you go to a professional designer, you can at least point to what you have and say "make this better".

In general those templates won't work very well for small business sites. All the good looking ones seem to be designed for large portal type sites.
Hi, I'm usually very busy, but if you don't need anything big, I could find some time. I created f.e.:

I work full time designing and developing websites. Some samples of my previous websites can be found at:
http://www.graffitihair.co.uk
http://www.a1familymartialarts.com
http://www.perisamo.co.uk
http://www.palacemarketinglimited.com
Is it a full website that you want or a template? Also, I can provide content management features so that you can alter prices, items, etc. without having to alter the HTML.

Chaz (chazeem 'at' puppygames dot net) might be able to help as well. He did our site and numerous others.
