I currently have 1 font pack and I try to pick my fonts from it so as to avoid licensing hassles. I know there are lots of free fonts online, but I don't enjoy searching font sites and buying individual fonts, or trying to guess at the fonts I do find by reading through countless readme's to see if they can be used etc... I'd like a pack of general purpose good game fonts thats not several hundred dollars and can be reused license free. Something in the <50$ range but which provides some decent choice. Any recommendations?

You can see in the FAQ (http://www.aenigmafonts.com/faq.html#use) that all of the fonts are free for commercial use.

Many of them would be ideal as game fonts.

Wow, this is a brilliant resource.

The only problem is that there is so many. Can anyone recommend any particular cool or fun ones (by name) to check out that would be appropriate for games?

one day the world will run out of "unique" fonts... (along with URLs, Band Names, Game Names etc) a scary thought :)

There's lots of funky fonts at www.acidfonts.com, but I think the license agreements are different for each one.
