When I was at the GDC I ran across a company that a friend of a friend works for called SimBionic (http://www.simbionic.com/) - and it seemed interesting enough to post about here.

Basically you can add AI as middleware, just like you might add Havok physics. I wonder if anyone else has taken a look at this software and what they might think about it.

A friend of mine wrote an AI plugin for GameStudio and considering the userbase size of GameStudio he does pretty well in selling it. I think its a great idea as long as its easy for the end user to seemlessly use in there game. It should have access to low level AI methods (graph searches...) as well as wrappers for common game AI stuff (flocking, pathfinding, etc).
