Hi all,
I'm going through the opposite route of some of the developers here: During college I have supported myself as an indie and now, as my graduation approaches, I'm excited as ever to jump into the real world and find myself a career.
My reason for doing this is because I have never done it before, the knowledge I can gain, and the people I can meet. Creating games will still be a part of me, but only partime.
I know this might be a long shot, but, I was wondering if any developers here can recommend me an occupation from the job they are currently working for or had worked for. I'm looking for the name of the company (and the job description it is offering) and aslo a contactee. I am willing to relocate, and only in US please :)
What I have in my belt are games I have built from scratch - from hiring freelancers, setting the website, continual updates, and even doing my own marketing (Cactus Bruce only). Each game has been moderately successful and sold a good many copies. Here they are:
Ballmaster www.ballmastergame.com (http://www.ballmastergame.com)
Meeklits www.meeklits.com (http://www.meeklits.com)
Cactus Bruce www.blueteagames.com (http://www.blueteagames.com)
Thanks!
Steve Z.
