Will anyone here be attending the Casual Games Summit at this year's GDC?

I will, unless there's a conflicting session.

I will, probably with a few other Flashbang guys.

It sounds nice but I always end up missing stuff like this because of another great session or business meeting. We will see. My favorite session every year is the Experimental Gameplay Workshop.

I'll go unless there is some other AWESOME session which bumps it...

It's a full-day tutorial on Monday. Here are all tutorials to get an idea of what it's competing with for time (couldn't see how to just show Monday tutorials):

Doh! I didn’t realize it was a “tutorial.” In that case I will not be in town yet.

I haven't perused the sessions yet, but does anyone know offhand if there are any indie-related ones? Not all day sessions since I, too, will not be attending those. The best sessions I went to last year were Steve Pavlina's indie roundtable sessions, so it's unfortunate that he won't be doing that again this year.

Ahh, sweet, so there are a few relevant sessions. Thanks for posting those. I know I have to login to the GDC some time soon and create my schedule.
Was there some official plan for getting people on these messageboards together for beer and/or dinner?

Wow, Scott Bilas is going to be there with Flash speech. Nice thing, everybody who's interested in a story behind Inspector Parker series should visit this one. He's going to speak about an art of wrapping Flash :)
I guess Audio Innovation in Downloadable Games could also be interesting for those, who aren't familiar with module music and DirectX effects inside it nowadays (BASS only :) ).

Double Doh! Same story - I guess I won't be making it to that either (I'm only signed up for Classic pass..)

Will anyone here be attending the Casual Games Summit at this year's GDC?
I'll be in and out of the Casual Game Summit and the Serious Game Summit (they're scheduled simultaneously on Monday).
I'll be looking for newsworthy quotes and comparisons. Like how Some Big Publisher's NEW IMPROVED Solitaire Game With High Gloss Budget is going to unseat Pretty Good Solitaire. And how the days of a game like Snood being successful are over. And why developers royalties have to be reduced even further. And...and...
On second thought, maybe I'll just skip it. Probably more fun to just make stuff up and hope its true. Seems to work for them...
