Hi,

We're thinking about selling some other developer's games on our site and I'm putting together what should be a simple, straight-forward agreement specifying that we'll advertise the game(s), sell them, fulfill the orders and then pay a percentage to the developer. I only have some older forms that I don't very much care for.

Does anyone have a good form that they can share for this purpose? Also, please tell me what terms you think are important from each perspective as that will help with the crafting of a real partnership agreement rather than a lop-sided one.

Thanks!

Hi Jeff!

Just wanted to wave a hello your way, haven't spoken to you in a while :)

Here are some suggestions off the top of my head:

1) Allow Developer to have a logo linked to their website, either in game or on the publisher's website. It serves as a recognition of the developer's work instead of "just another game" as presented by some portals. Likewise, a developer may choose to add a publisher's logo in their website.

2) Some negative feedbacks presented by fellow developers are that portals tend to give new game a short lifetime, before the game falls from the "New" category to the unknown abyss. Give each game a longer lifespan and on a prominent spot. In return, the developer promises to make periodic to the game. This signifies both party working hard toward a common goal.

Regards,
Steve Z.

Hey Steve! All's good!

Thanks for the post - as you know, we'll do what we can to make a partnership of it - if we go forward.
