I've had two customers in the past few days complain that they received broken downloads when they purchased one of my games through Plimus. I reactivated the download in my control panel and the customer never got back to me, so I have to assume he got it the second time or he'd have been after my blood by now. I've just done the same for the second customer and hoping this resolves it.
I've only been selling for about a week and two customers in a week seems like a pretty rotten record to me.

Plimus links work most of the time for us. They do fail ocassionally but I still haven't figured out if it's Plimus or the customer that does something wrong.

Tell them not to use download manager like Getright, Gozilla, etc since they can break downloads from secure servers (not only from Plimus but from all sites that uses a limited number of download/connections).

The other option is to host the download yourself, which is what I do.

I already have a personal server, separate from my other servers which I can use for this purpose, but only as a backup. No point buying a dog and barking yourself. I expect Plimus to do what they're being paid for.

Well - I pay them to take credit cards and do the fraud checking, as well as host the secure purchase pages. One of the reasons I host the full game myself is because I had seen people having broken downloads with them already. Another reason is that I send out the registration key from my server AFTER the payment has been confirmed. The mail contains the link to the full version, and it's something I can change in one place on my server. It also helps get around the guaranteed download issue. I didn't have to ask them to turn it off. Since they don't host the download, it's not even an option. Also, this way, if/when I get another payment provider, I don't have to do double the work when I do an update. I only have to change it in one place.

I don't currently do registration keys, and TBH, if all I wanted was credit card processing and fraud checking, a merchant account would be cheaper. I'm prepared to pay Plimus more only because I want them to do more.
They did get back to me in the end. They told me that the download link should be put on a separate line in the email to avoid broken links. I'm pretty sure I'm already doing that, but it might be useful info to others.
My customer emailed me and told me that the second link I sent him worked perfectly. He's giving Plimus the credit for being quick on the ball, but as long as he's happy, I can live with them getting credit for me being up till 5am answering emails.
