Hi all,

One of the biggest questions that you must ask when choosing an e-commerce provider is whether your affiliates, those who sell your games on their websites, have confidence in your e-commerce's affiliate tracking system. I'm sitting here having to answer that question myself and I would really appreciate it if you guys can comment on the reception that you have gotten about your e-commerce's affiliate tracking system, specifically ones other than Regnow (Plimus, Regsoft, BMT Micro, etc.). I know that Regnow has the best, or the perception thereof, but they are too expensive and I want to consider a different option if a good one is available. Thanks.

I think most affiliate sites use RegNow.
But this does not mean you have to choose RegNow as your reg-service. I would even not recommend them. Select a good reg-service (Plimus or BMT) for sales from your site. Then sign up to RegNow for the affiliate sales.

Then sign up to RegNow for the affiliate sales.

Then make sure there is no way that people who download the affiliated version can buy using the other services. This is possible, but since I only use Regnow I didn't have to look into this.

You can look at my order page. There's a RegNow detection link that checks for affiliate sales before going to my normal Shareit order page. http://www.blueskied.com/order.htm

That's very interesting. If you don't mind, can you tell me an affiliate who sells your game so that I can see if in action from their point of view. Also, how does your system actually work? If a customer downloads your game from an affiliate site, that affiliate ID goes to Regnow, but the sales information is in Share-it. Also, did you have a hard time convincing your affiliates about the system? Thanks.
