I need to find an automated mailing list solution because I don't have time to do it manually like before. I was using http://www.ymlp.com (a link that I found here) only from 3 days and their site seems to be already down :D
A great start, indeed... obviously I won't go with them.
So, anyone has a good and reliable mailing list service? Any suggestions? :)

I downloaded a basic PHP/SQL script from HotScripts.com that handles newsletters. I had to do a bit of tweaking to get it to work how I want but it works perfectly. The only downside is it doesn't seem to send HTML email correctly. So I have to import the mail list into my email program and send like that.

Well I was using my own php system but I found out that mySQL databases are very unstable... I don't want to have to check every day for possible db problem!
The fun thing is that I just discovered that ymlp is used also by retro64, so it should be a good system if he uses it... now the server is up, but has been down for at least 8 hours, I had an email from a USA tester who said that she couldn't signup and was 8 hours ago... I don't demand 99.9% uptime but 8 hours seems a bit too much.
A pity because apart for that, it seems very good.

I have never had a problem with YMLP Premium. I really like their system and it has been reliable. So I think your experience was a fluke, Jack :)

I don't use any of these, I just have them bookmarked, but I thought you could research them if you like.

Well ...ok. I'll stick with them then, since they got your recommendation! ;)

I've also been using YMLP Premium for several months now and it's been terrific, no problems at all.

While we're at it, lately we're seeing a lot of subscribers that never reply to a confirmation mail. Anyone else seeing this? We're using ezinedirector.com.

I'm worried that people's spam filters are getting too aggresive, and I wonder if this is specific to ezine.
