How do you find female beta testers?

I've started beta testing on my game but so far all I've gotten is male testers. That's not too unexpected, but I'm curious if anyone has had any luck attracting female testers.

Of course, so far I've only really announced on a mac game news site (it's a mac game, btw) and news has spread from there to other sites. I'm just not sure what sites female gamers and potential testers would frequent.

I am going to try asking my testers if they have a mother/girlfriend/sister etc. who'd be willing to give my game a spin and provide feedback.

You should have as much variety of beta tester audience as possible. That includes Male/Female, As many ages and interest groups as possible. The broader the group and the more testers you'd have, the better (and more valueable) feedback youll get.

Your mum and dad, if you've still got 'em, can often be a surprisingly good source of criticism and feedback. Or your in-laws.

Ah, I didn't even know you could turn off sigs. I notice that etiquette around here keeps sigs to a bare minimum anyway.
