I enjoyed the special achievement awards from Greg's 2003 awards so much that I had to follow suit. So posted today (just one day before the top 10) I put up our special awards...awards that award things that weren't getting awards otherwise and more opportunity for me to point out what I don't like...

Excellent! It feels good to be mean spirited every now and then, hehee. Some great mentions in there, I look forward to seeing the top 10! I have a feeling we'll have some big disagreements over them, hehe.

I'm sure, but I always respect your opinion :)

Indie games have gotten nearly too big to cover...which is somewhat the topic of my year-end introspective artice (that is nearly done and set to be published on the site on Saturday).

You guys ever thought about adding in a "browser" based category? (and I don't mean "Play online as an applet, flash, or or ActiveX")

Yep...and that line that I said about Indie's getting too big to cover...thanks for reinforcing the point.

Unfortunately I may run into that problem a lot, as games of the nature of mine require some investment in time to really appreciate all the aspects. That means they aren't good for a quick review at all where you can pop it in, play for a few hours, and give impressions.
