The Flash Game Developer will be part of a crack team of commando developers looking to create the best casual game offering on Facebook and across all social networks. Working closely with a seasoned team of producers, designers, artists, and back end programmers, you will build the client-side experiences on multiplayer casual games that deliver great game experiences and interesting social dynamics.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Maintain and extend existing high-traffic AS2 word, puzzle, and board games with an eye toward quality user experience and great viral features.
• Build client-side AS2 or AS3 games for future casual games.
• Work closely with cross functional team with local and remote members.
• Understand, implement, and extend game designs.
• Manage and debug data flow from server to game client (via PHP, Java, or Javascript connections).
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:
• B.S. in Computer Science, or equivalent experience
• 2+ years of Flash game development experience, including Actionscript 2, CPU/Memory optimization, Cross-browser compatability. Actionscript 3 highly desirable.
• Knowledge of PHP and/or Javascript a big plus. Understanding how to interface with these technologies is a *must*.
• Game design or production experience a plus.
• Strong knowledge of software development lifecycle.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to assist other team members in problem solving.
• Self-starter with strong ability to work independently and solve problems on the fly.
• Candidates MUST include a link to at least one playable Flash web game that they have created.
