Hello all,

I have done 18 films so far and you know what I realized? I got into it because of my love of action and science fiction - and games is where it's at!

So here I am, saying hello and looking to connect with people here.

I invite you to listen to my music by visiting my site:

About me?

Well, I am a classically trained composer. My concert music has been played all over and I've also scored 18 films in all kinds of genres, yes, including action! My forte is the orchestra, but I am also a virtuoso electric guitar player - blame the 80's hair bands. I also play piano, cello, flute and percussion.

Recently I wrote some demo music for the software manufacturer Synful, a great new tool for film and game composers.

So, let's get in touch!

Cheers,

Alain

I listened to some of your music from your website, and they were very professionally made and I thought they were very good. You're music would probably fit very well in an MMO or adventure style game.

If you were looking for work you might want to post over in the Help Wanted section to see if anyone is currently looking for a composer.

Hello all,

Yes, i listened to your demos, they are very impressive and so is the Synful (sounds even more natural than Vienna...).

Good work.

That's where I know that name from, the Synful demos!

I've been wanting to do a review for Synful orchestra for Music4Games for quite some time now, but they keep making drastic upgrades,so I wait a bit longer!

Great music overall and I hope to hear some games with your quality comp skills utilized!

I have to say that what I have already noticed that the game world much warmer and supportive than in the film biz.

Tony, Jean-Marc and "papastiffy", thanks for the kind words! Very appreciated! I will put a post up in the "help wanted" section.

Yes, I do think that Synful strings are where it's at in terms of realism, warmth and above all, playability. I guess you use Vienna , Jean-Marc? (Nice music, by the way!)

Cheers,

Alain

Thanx for the kind words about my music :)

oh, i don't think Synful can be beaten in the realistic instruments niche, it's really quite breath taken but i'm not totally sold yet on the interface design.

Vienna ? non, I'm using mixtures of several different programs to get what I need but then my sound is quite peculiar and organic.

So, Jean Marc, I am curious, what do you use that suits your needs?

Really depends on what's needed for the specific game or project, but basically i'll use Reaktor, Reason and 1K Sample Tank, throw it all in Cubase and start tampering and experimenting: people want their game to sound different than the game next door.
Then, I add the special secret ingredient... :)
