Music is a valuable asset in a multi-media or interactive experience. Some would say that music is the emotional language of the audio visual experience, as it can communicate the ineffable. Drama, sorrow, bliss, and subtle shades between--arguably, music is the palette of emotion and mood. Not every designer may immediately realize the value of the musical experience, but its emotions have textures determined by a multitude of subtle creative choices, from harmonization to instrumentation. Take a moment to consider how significant music can be on the overall audio-visual-interactive experience and of course, how important it is that designers collaborate with a composer to achieve the most elegant presentation.
