My OSA Kit is done and you can find more info here www.osakit.com

See it in action here http://www.osakit.com/inaction.html (Only works with Internet Explorer and compatibles)

You can download the demo, it is fully functional and with good documentation for making it easy for you to implement it for your own games.

I need your opinons, tests, bugs and suggestions before I start marketing.

Looks great. A few questions/remarks:
- it asked to download the "Microsoft Stock Property Control". What is it?
- Pharaohs' Curse created a new app window for a second when starting, can that be avoided? It breaks the whole "playing online" illusion.
- it crashes the IE on one of the W2k boxes here. That box is completely infested with various browser hijackers and stuff, though, that might have something to do with it.
- can a licensing arrangement be made such that we can distribute it to affiliates/publishers (for use with our games only)?

-Microsoft Stock Property Control is set of common properties that's already stored and initialized for the control. (this message can be avoided and only the digital certificate will be shown without any more warning message, it is all in the documentation)

- That's because of MoleBox which does not allow the ActiveX to hide the window (I contacted the MoleBox developer for that), if you tried Insectoids or Deluxanoid you won't notice anything as they are not Moleboxed. They are packed with TeraBit's Pack for BlitzBasic.

- I think those programs are responsible for the crash.

- No Problem!

Great. I'll give it a try with Caribbean Puzzle when I get the time (not for a week or so, unfortunately), and I'll report back with the results.

Regarding the licensing, say we get a "Unlimited non affiliate" license now, and later we want to give the "online" version of the game to an affiliate to put on his website (including your control), how much would the upgrade cost us (preferably an one-time payment, not per affiliate)? I don't need the exact quote, a ballpark figure will be enough. As far as I can tell this is not covered with the available licensing options?

I'm sorry, is it just me or are activeX controls and IE only applications so 2 years ago? Is it really that hard to use Java or Flash?

If your game is not Java or Flash to begin with, yes.

Don't PopCap's online games use ActiveX components?

Anyway, good job! I'm trying it out now.

Marin : I will see what I can do and will let you know!

Btw, I succeeded to make a tool like MoleBox (No encryption though) which I will give it for free with the OSA Kit package.

Marin : You can order the Totally unlimited license and put it on any website you want (including affiliate as long as the affiliate does not use it for other games which are not yours)
