I've just finished the first release version of my game, Sixty Five Million And One BC (http://65millionand1bc.com) and I'd be very grateful to hear some reports and opinions on either the game or the website.

Requires:
Windows 2000, XP or Vista
DirectX 8 or later
512 MB RAM, but probably more for Vista

Website & download: Sixty Five Million And One BC (http://65millionand1bc.com)

The game is 14 MB to download, and doesn't change the screen resolution.

Many thanks,
Gareth

Ok, tried the game out. It seems pretty involved for a first release. The game certainly has a lot of character.

I did some digging around on the internet and found some reviews on the game already. The production is pretty impressive and really shows off GameMaker.

Anybody reading this post should definitely try it out, it's certainly entertaining.

I just played it and found it entertaining, and I would recommend downloading the demo to anybody who's computer meets the system requirements.

I cannot play it, the dino get stuck ducking and biting, some times it jumps but it doesn't move :(

Edit:
I got this in the game_errors.log file:
ERROR in
action number 1
of Create Event
for object options_controller:

Error in function real().

My computer is an iMac 20" using bootcamp, Xp Pro SP2

Thanks very much for the information; I'll have to look into that real() function error
.

Aaaah yes, turns out that was due to regional/language settings inconsistantly using commas and periods to separate out real numbers. This should now be fixed!

F'ing Brilliant man. Great attention to detail and a fun sense of humor.

Ran well on my machine, but...I did jump through a few sand blocks accidentally. There was two columns going up and sand between them. I started to climb one of them, got hit by a Compy and my raptor got stuck in between the two columns with sand. I could climb up to the top but couldn't get out until I went all the way to the bottom.

And why come no gamepad support is?

Why come?

Gamepad would equal buy for me.

Game pad support is something I'll have to add in a new version...... but first I'll have to by a game pad with which to test it :)

And thanks for your feedback - I'll look into the movement bug!
