Hello everyone,
My name is Mike Dawson and I'm working with the Los Angeles County Regional Occupational Program (LACOROP), part of the Los Angeles County Office of Education (http://www.lacorop.org). At LACOROP, our mission is to deliver quality career preparation to high school students and adults. In pursuit of that mission, we look to industry professionals for expertise and input.
I知 posting this message to invite game programming professionals to participate in an Advisory Meeting to review our recently implemented Game Programming Curriculum. As a member of the game industry, you池e in a unique position to provide valuable insight that can have a positive impact on our courses and students.
During the meeting, you値l have the opportunity to become familiar with the training we provide students throughout Los Angeles County. You値l be able to review our course outline, interact with instructors, and provide input to help strengthen our program. The advice we get from industry experts like you is used to revise our courses.
The meeting is scheduled for the afternoon of May 15, 2008, from 2:00pm to 4:00pm PST. As a convenience to our advisors, we値l be holding the meeting online. This means you can attend from any location with internet access and a phone line. Through an online presentation system and conference calling, we値l be able to discuss the Game Programming Curriculum in a convenient and efficient way.
I hope that some of you consider being part of this important upcoming review process. We really would like input from the game industry -- and appreciate your insights and perspective. If you'd like to attend or have any questions, please feel free to contact me (http://www.programgames.com/wst_page6.html).
Thanks for your consideration,
--Mike Dawson
