I'm getting reports form customers that Plimus is requiring a phone number and is calling them to verify their order. Has anyone had this happen before and how do I make it stop?

Forum search will turn up more. I didn't find it with a quick look, but I think I remember someone saying they asked Plimus to turn it off for their account.
I've been hit with it before as a customer (first and only time I shopped with Plimus). I understand that it's a well-meaning fraud prevention measure, but it's freakin' annoying. This is one reason why I don't use Plimus myself. :)

As I understand it (from one of their support personnel), they do that with all first-time Plimus customers. It's part of their fraud prevention.
While it is annoying, I don't think there is anyway around it. This isn't vendor-specific, meaning they do this regardless of which vendor the order was placed with. So I don't think there is any way to "turn it off".
