Hi
The day has come: we released Runes of Avalon 2 for Linux. Man, getting icons for Linux is even worse than doing it on Mac

Enjoy & let me know how it works for you.

Take a fantastic journey through a magical world as you match the runes to help Evelyne fulfil her mission and find her way home.

Welcome to the once glorious empire of Avalon, now clouded by the darkness of the evil Morganna’s spells. After defeating Morganna in an intense magical battle, Evelyne, the protector of Avalon, must now cleanse Avalon from the dark curse with her Rune Magic. Help Evelyne to complete her mission and find her way home by matching the runes, encountering new locations, new spells and new challenges along the way. With three game modes and some unexpected twists, Runes of Avalon 2 takes you to an enchanting world of magic and mystery you won’t want to leave.

Game features:
- 100 great levels
- Amulet of Spells with 4 new spells and 6 power-ups
- 10 new enchanting images to reveal
- Heart-stirring graphics and animation
- JigSaw mini-game
- Cast spells for bigger and better matches

HOORAY!!! I've been eagerly awaiting this! I'm downloading now...

It installed and ran fine for me. I'm running Kubuntu 7.04, on a 3.2 GHz machine, 1 GHz RAM, and NVidia Quadro Pro with 64 MB RAM.

Two things:
1) When I switched to Windowed mode, the game successfully switched, but none of my windows or my desktop fully repainted. I had to refresh them manually. This doesn't happen with ROA 1 or Path of Magic. I'm running all 3 games on the same machine.
2) When I got to the end of the first level, the last 2 vials were almost full and I played a piece that filled them both up. A voice came on and said "One more to go", but the "Level Complete" banner was displayed and I moved on. This is a minor glitch, but would be nice to fix.

Overall, ROA2 is much improved over the original. Well done!

Hi Troy,
Thanks for checking out the game. I am affraid that there's not much we can do about issue #1... it's BlitzMax thing probably, since our code stayed the same, but BMX updated since release of ROA1.

Regarding #2 we will try to do our best :)

Great, I like ubuntu, but I don't think the linux version can sell well, open source or free is more suitable for linux.

Maybe it won't sell in so high volumes as on Mac or Windows, but even 52 orders for my Linux games is worth the effort since it doesn't take me more than a day to make those versions (and I did not do much marketing except submitting it to 2 or 3 linux websites).

The problem is getting enough downloads, because CR is so far similar to Windows.
