Avangate

I've been contacted by a sales rep from Avangate (http://www.avangate.com/online-payment-solutions/) who wants to sign me up for their services, which include e-commerce processing and web marketing. He's offering me a discount on their usual percentage, since he contacted me rather than the other way around. On paper it looks like a cheaper* deal than BMT Micro that provides more services; thing is, I've never heard of Avangate before and have no idea what their track record is like.

* Cheaper after the discount, not before. :)

There's only one other mention of them on this whole forum, from 2006. It seems a bit strange to me that the likes of BMT Micro, Plimus, SWREG, eSellerate, etc. are mentioned very often on this forum when Avangate has only been mentioned once. Why is that?

Has anyone had any experience with them?

We use Avangate since a couple of months and so far we are satisfied.

I guess nobody else has ever even heard of them, judging by the crickets! :)
