I am very proud to announce the first game produced by SOLO development. After 12 months of spare time I can finally look at the outcome and feel proud. It started up as test to see if I could create a game of my own and if so, if I could make some kind of a living out of it. We'll see about that part :D
Cryptex of Time is a innovative casual game that takes the player through place and time with mindthrilling puzzles.
Features
- 48 unique and varying levels
- 4 different worlds with it's own playstyles, puzzles and gamemodes
- 12 different gamemodes giving the player a fresh gaming experience throughout the whole game.
- Find new locations and collect treasures
- Stunning graphics and audio (am I allowed to say that ;) )
The free demo and full version game are available at http://www.solodev.eu/g_Cryptex.html
You can also view a movieclip of the game at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ntWIaLScSOQ

Good luck with this, I've been following since I saw your first release and it's loads better now. All the skills you've learnt you can plough into your next game now too.

Thank you all for your kind words, and especially you Grey for all support throughout this time.
Yes, I certainly have learned a lot this year and it will hopefully have some impact on next game. Now I realize that the hardest part for me probably starts now as I'm not at all good with the marketing stuff.
Press releases sent, reviewer got their share, portals been contacted... just sit and wait, huh?
Rockford: yes it's all coded in Blitz3D

looks great - I think you'll get a lot of downloads if you can get on the portals.

As this is a developersite and I know some of you are using Blitz3D I just would like to announce that I have a special offer at the Blitz community forum that I'm giving away all my source code together with the game if you buy a copy.
The source code is free for you to study, use and also include in your own commercial titles. Just mail me your serial code and I'll send it to you.
I know it's not the common way to do things here but I think it is a good idea.
For more information please mail me or visit the Blitz forums.

Very good move!
Have you solved all the Blitz3d problem with Vista, "ctrl+alt+del", screensavers, logout, Alt+Tab ecc.?

Interesting idea with the code givaway. I'm a coding beginner, but I'd like to see an example of your code before paying money for it (nice looking game, but I'm not too good at match 3 games :P). The reason why is because I've seen so much badly documented (and badly written!) code from Blitz3D people I find looking through it helps me in no way at all. I spend half my time trying to decode things like obscure variable names and magic numbers I may as well spend the time teaching myself.
So, is it possible to see how your code is written? Or, is it as listed above? :)

Reactor: The source is in "as-is" shape (no comments added afterwards). Usually I am structured and good at naming functions and variables to good and understandable names but maybe lack sometimes in commenting the code (as the functionnames does make up for it).
In the sourcepackage I include a file describing what every module are doing and believe the source to be very straightforward and easy to grasp (for such a size of project).
BiboGames: Alt-tabbing from fullscreen is a built in problem for Blitz3D and is not solved in this version, still the use of B3D1.99 removes most of the Vista issues.

Thanks AJirenius. I'll consider grabbing the game to have a look.
