ANN: Big Fish Games' French channel

Dear colleagues,

We've launched our French distribution channel today:
jeux pc et mac (http://www.bigfishgames.fr/).

This is another opportunity to distribute your titles if they are localized. Our german (http://www.bigfishgames.de/) channel, launched two years ago, is doing great by all metrics but especially in terms of sales vs. investment in a localized version. The French distribution channel will provide yet more revenue for little investment.

In terms of our principal network partners program, now is the time for you French folks to become the French PNP kingpins :). We have a talented French person in charge, I'm just announcing.

Are there some general stats on how well games do in different markets? I don't know anything about the demographics of game purchasers in Germany or France... but I'm guessing it's not a simple 1/3rd the population == 1/3rd the sales? Is the PC penetration the same? Any Macs?

Big congrats to you Emmanuel and to all the BFG staff for the bfg.fr grand opening! I guess there was a LOT of work involved into the process. There are still a few glitches here and there but I'm sure that everything will be put in order, after everyone recovers from Thanksgiving.:D
Is Sebastien Petit the french guru of Big Fish Games?

I'm really glad to see many games finally localized in french! Hopefully some (more) blockbusters, including bfg's own ones, will be available soon. Not to forget the Mac catalog.
