Enough of this delay! I'm going to put my head on the block and state that Democracy (http://www.democracygame.com) Will be shortly ready for Alpha testing.
Yup, not beta testing, ALPHA testing. I've decided that beta is way too late in the design process to wait for opinions, so I'm opening up my latest game to criticism while its not too late to fix stuff.
Democracy is a politics simulation, kind of a single-player NationStates / Republic the revolution kind of thing.
So whats finished?
The code works! The core gameplay is there, some reasonably balanced data is in there, a workable GUI is in place. Most of the content is there (with some placeholder text in places)
Whats not done:
No tutorial, no help system, no save/load and no optimisation. Only some of the graphics are final, no options screen yet.
So if you fancy getting involved and shooting down my ideas early, bung me an email at betatest AT positech.co.uk. Don't bother with system specs, I'm just looking for design tips now, bug testing and compatibility is way down the line.
Thanks!
