I did the music for this game, which was released yesterday:

http://www.arcadetown.com/musicdodge/game.asp

The songs are instrumental techno remixes of songs I did from Anime Songwriting Workshop, (http://www.animesongwritingworkshop.com) which is a musical outreach program I do as a volunteer at anime and gaming fan conventions.

good job!

I had read that the music was all original for the game!

to anyone else, worth checking out.

Visited the site, but clicking on the game spawned a new window as wide as my screen, as well as popup ads... so I bailed.

Yay, I did check out the game. The browser version was too choppy but the downloadable ran perfect.

Though after playing, shouldn't the game be called Music Grind, versus Music Dodge? It would seem that's your main mechanic here, in fact you're kind of doing the opposite of dodging for the most part.

And very cool tracks, were they submitted as notation and then generated by an algorithm or were all the on-screen notes created manually?

I didn't write the code or name the game, so I can't speak for the design. I just did the songs. I believe the shots are algorithmic rather than manual.

The game has latency issues and ads in the browser, but it's a small download.

Thanks!
