what game logo do u prefer ?

I'm reading 2D tutorial to try to improve my skills... :p

I'd like to know which game logo u think is the best one ..?

And please, write "you" instead of "u", "your" instead of "ur", I feel a pain comparable to a violent kick in the b*lls every time I read one of those :eek:

Can't say I love any of these logos. I think you ought to take it all back to formula.

Well, I feel exactly the opposite... I could even name the filters used in logo #1. Even the font used is so standard-looking.

I like the brushed metal look of logo #2. The colours are also much better and the font is an interesting one. And I prefer it on black background.

I believe you're looking for a touch of 'style' or uniqueness with the N thing. But you're just helping make the words difficult to read. If you want to apply that style to a letter, you should try the 'B' or the 'r' (or both,) that'd make much more sense.

I guess more than 90% of my customers won't be able to name the PS filters involved, but I agree for PS users, it's easy to recognize some of them... ;)

I'm going to try to improve my 2D skills, but it's so hard to have an objective opinion on something I worked... :-S

The Photoshop filter obvousness is not so important as long as the graphic looks OK. I think your logo #1 doesn't. It looks cheap to me.

I also don't really like either logo. When I read the words Balloon Rain I imagine a colorful logo with balloons somehow incorporated into it. A much more cartoony and happy look.

Filters are fun to play with but so easy to overuse.

Sorry if this post is a downer. Try using colors and going for a simpler look. Examine logos of popular games and pick out which ones attract you most. Figure out why.

I agree with lizardsoft. You want something with balloons in the title. Probably the most obvious thing is to use balloons for the 2 o's in balloon, but if you could make a big drop for the A in rain look like an A then that might be good as well. Nothing too original here, but at least it's identifiable, and fits.
