I never thought that I would see a game (http://www.bigfishgames.com/download-games/2051/midnight-pool-3d/index.html)move from it's mobile roots to the PC casual game space as moving from PC to mobile has always been the norm. I guess Ubisoft/Gameloft is starting a trend.

It was a surprise to see it there. I am a snooker fan, and I actually *do* play World Snooker 2007 on my PS2... But, to me these games never feel casual at all, due to the various cue controls and physics to consider. Hmm, perhaps a 2d version is really more suitable (I found some screenshots of the 2d mobile version).
It does suggest Big Fish will consider quite a wide range of games.
Anyway, in the Top 10 thread, Spaiz has officially declared the end of hidden object era! ;)

Actually Ubisoft divested from gameloft... so now it's just gameloft.
At a game-a-day Big Fish have historically shown themselves willing to host damned near anything (to their credit, actually). But if a game doesn't sell then that pretty much is the end of it. So if you're waiting on getting your own pool game on Big Fish you better hope this one cracks the top 10.
Seriously, though - 74 megabyte download for a game of pool?

Yup, my bad on that. I kept forgetting about the split from Gameloft a while back as I always associated Gameloft with Ubisoft since Gameloft were producing mobile ports of Ubisoft's game.

I have the mobile 2D version and it rocks. It is the only mobile game that I will play when I am on the bus. My guess is that this version on Bigfish will make a decent amount of money before it disappear off the charts.

Sounds cool. If I ever get a fancy mobile I would def try it.
The slightly sad thing about World Snooker 2007 is that I spend most time in the 2d top-down view rather than the 3d, cos you can line-up the shots better  So, for 2d versus 3d, that says it all really...

My understanding is some of Last Day of Work's titles came from mobile to PC casual market. And pretty successful. Also Lemonade Tycoon games did same. Bet there's more. So there is historical precedence.
