Time for some predictions! Where will you be in one, two, or five years from now? Will you have been bought out by a portal (will you still call yourself indie)? Will you have started a new, very successful portal? Will you finally have your first game finished? your tenth game finished?

Tell me, people, I want to know. Maybe throw out some predictions not about yourself too.

In one year from now, I'll have adjusted my direction to go more towards providing free education and community building. It will be successful, I hope :D

Let's see how many of your predictions turn out to be true when the time comes.

I have spent the last 3 months building a small team hand picked by myself with the intention of releasing 2-3 casual portal games in the 1st year.

The team has 3 programmers a musician and 2 artists (all very talented with similar ambitions to me)

So after i finish my new game "Mole" and release it on the portals its full steam ahead with a new site a hand full of our games and development of new original IPs.

The futures bright (I think) but thats my plans for the next year.

Darren.

P.s. wheres my badge:)

By end of 2007, we hope to have Treasure Tomb released.
By end of 2008, we hope to have Monster Mash and one other title released, and be making a consistent average of 100 direct sales a month and 20 affiliate sales, and 10 sales of other developers' games, which should be just enough money coming in to be able to remain in business indefinitely.

Cas :)

Eh why not, something to look back on and laugh about...

End of 2007: Have a few sales of my game, at least 30.
End of 2008: Release an expansion pack, and a small multiplayer strategy game. Sales close to 1/day. A small community of GTII players sharing custom scenarios.

In two years I'll be checking my bank account from a tropical beach. Seriously. The 4-Hour Workweek (http://forums.indiegamer.com/showthread.php?t=10970) did that to me. Go read it now!
