This is the Alpha-2 test of The Wonderful End of the World, our upcoming title for Windows. You can grab the demo here:

Controls are WASD+Mouse; Mouse+LMB; or Gamepad. Your goal is to stroll around the Earth, gathering as many things as possible. The more things you gather, the larger you grow. The more you grow, the larger things you can gather. The game may require a Pixel Shader Model 2.0 3D card, but then again, it might not. It certainly looks better with one.

Comments, questions, and suggestions welcome!

Just gave this a try... not bad!

It's the first time I've seen an independant game that takes inspiration from Katamari Demacy, although I think perhaps you should try to tone down how close this seems to be to Katamari, even down to the music and the palette.

I only got a D+ score, but I didn't find enough items to keep it fun all the time. It's also pretty strange and weird at the start as you're completely invisible.

None of the textures show up for me. Everything is black.
I have a GeForce4 Ti 4200.

Nice music, though. =)

Yeah; I'd like to be able to differentiate the title in both gameplay and aesthetics. We'll have to work on that.

Must be a pixel shader issue; we'll have it fall back to non-shaders on the 4200.

Thanks for trying it out. :)
