Looks like the folks who created the Unity game engine are have a contest for Mac game developers - prize is $2000 + a licensed version of the game engine. The are also having a conference in October it appears.

That article seemed to miss an important point: you have to use Unity to develop your entry for the competition. See the official contest announcement at unity3d.com for full details.
