Not sure how widely you plan to advertise this promotion, but I suspect you'll get a lot of new subscribers, many of whom will cancel when the contest ends -- but since we're good and glued to the feed for a few weeks, we might be forced to notice that we LIKE your feed, where otherwise we never would've known. Well I'm signed up, anyway. :)

If you use the rss feed you don't need to submit your email address - the email option is just for those who don't know what a feed is.

I'm hoping to make the competition a monthly thing (with different prizes each month) and, as you say - hopefully being subscribed for a week or so will make them want to stay subscribed. So far it's looking promising.
