I've had my account for a couple of days now but never got to posting.

I'm a hobbyist game developer planning to go full-time once I finish high-school and collage. I worked on small little games that I've shared with friends but recently started work on a new project which I have big plans for.

I have a website which you guys can check out:

http://www.aluonstudios.uni.cc

My current project is Utopia.

If you would like to know more, please let me know and I'll gladly answer :)

Welcome to the forums.

Since you started a thread to introduce yourself -- might as well tell us about this platformer of yours.

Also -- you're aiming for XBLA distribution with your first title? Ambitious, that.

Have fun here... an' watch out for the grumpies.

More about the game? Sure. I pulled this straight from the FAQ from my site. If you have any more questions just let me know :)

What is Utopia?
Utopia is a 2D platformer game much like Metal Slug. You can basically say its Metal Slug mixed with Shadowrun. You play as Arnd who has recently joined the Arms of Utopia, a secret organization which deals with the kings safety. Arnd's first mission is to rescue the king from the Legiance.

Who are the Legiance?
The Legiance are a group of outlaws. They are the enemy in Utopia. Their province is located right next to the Province of Utopia and they plan to take over Utopia and start expanding.

What is the Arms of Utopia?
The Arms of Utopia is a secret organization that is setup to protect the king.

When will the game be released?
We have no clue at this moment of when Utopia will be released. We will let you know as soon as we know.

What platform(s) is the game going to support?
The game is being developed for the Xbox 360. We plan to release it through the Xbox Live Arcade system. If this does not work out the game will be released for Windows.

What technology is used in your game?
We currently use XNA and Torque X to power our game.

I have a question?
You do? Post on the forums and we'll answer :)
