26/04/07 (Alicante) (Spain) - DevilishGames launches "Sonoro TV"

Sonoro TV is a PC game that mixes platforms and strategy with a completely new concept of game play and -control. The game is played by drawing lines that will guide little musical characters to the exit of each level.

The main characters of the game are Jin and Nina, guests on a TV game-show called "Sonoro TV". To win the grand prize they will have to complete 30 missions against the evil DJ Sonoro.

For downloading the demo or buying the full version of the game, please visit: www.devilishgames.com/sonorotv

The full version of the game will cost $19.95 and can be purchased using PayPal or in the BMT micro Store, guarantying a secure and reliable transaction all around the globe.

With the launch of Sonoro TV, Devilish continues their line of independent PC games that started with "Nuts & Scrap" and will be followed in the coming months with the release of several other games that are already under development.

Hilarious presentation!

It’s funny no one comments on the gameplay because it sure deserves it.

It’s a very interesting twist on the concept of games like, for example, Spherical (C64 & amiga). Spherical, itself, took the basic mechanics from Solomon’s Key but added a rolling ball that you had to guide to its goal. (If you haven’t played Solomon’s key: You control a guy that can create and destroy blocks. In this way he builds the platform to jump to and blocks out the enemies.)

The twist to instead freely draw the platforms is bold as it removes the tile based nature of the gameplay, but it works fine. I know that Nintendo DS has “drawing platforms games” but I haven’t played them and thus cannot compare.

Initially the game was hard but once I got a hang of it, I quickly completed the demo levels.

It could use some polish and is not the most user friendly game but, for example, compared to the slightly similar, but way more polished, Eets, I vastly preferred your game.

Hmm, I really liked the presentation at the start, but to be honest the game did nothing for me.

It comes across as a scrappily executed blend of Kirby's Canvas Curse and Lemmings and it's not a patch on either of them. The player movement is shaky (especially when jumping over DJ Sonoro), the way you draw the paths feels unnecessarily clunky with the different colour types and the way that they're composed of dots instead of lines and the level design seems thrown together with each level being an idea, rather than a design.

I really liked the idea behind the game play, but I'm afraid the game was much to difficult for me. I tried the first level and couldn't solve it. There is so little paint and the evil DJ kept erasing it with it's disk. I tried it a couple of times and then gave up.

Is there a way to view a solution if you can't solve a level?
