Just released an update of Hold'em poker with a new look.

I'd appreciate some honest feedback on what's to improve and
your overall impression.

Thanks,

I was a little surprised that the game just immediately started. I don't know if I like that or not, but it just surprised me.

I would suggest rounding the edges on the cards. They look too square to me. I did like the colors you chose. Very clean and pleasant to look at.

I didn't understand what "The ultimate challenge of the AI power..." meant. Perhaps you should build a more detailed nag screen.

I would suggest some music to play in the background. Seemed like it was missing that.

Thanks for taking the time to post the suggestions.

Maybe somebody else could give it a shot. Any feedback is much appreciated.

I think technically it looks good. Plays well, and all that. I think there's a bit of a problem in "lack of feeling". While the game itself seems quite fluent, it loses to some of the competitors. For example, take a look at Poker Superstars 2 (google for a demo) and you'll notice how the sounds, and human faces really add in the feeling. Also the buttons in that game look nicer.

I would also think about the bet amounts. For some reason it's nicer to play for $6,000 than $6 pot ;)

Nothing to complain really - but there is some room for improvements.

Some kind of "welcome note" or "player name changing" thingy could be good to have (at least in the first time you play - the next times you play it might be a good idea to let player continue playing right away)
