I've began testing the implementation of the "Vieur" in-game ad system, basically it's the same functionality that comes already integrated into igLoader, I've just ripped it out and made it available for standalone games. If can be used with ANY language that supports DLLs.

What is it?

"Vieur" is a DLL that ad-enables your games, it allows you to monetize your games even if they are not purchased. Anyone who has recently downloaded games from RealArcade will be familiar with the technology. When used together with a DRM system "Vieur" enables you to deliver ad-supported trials where the player has the option to purchase (unlock) the ad-free version.

Anyway, I just want to know if it works on your systems (Windows 95/98/2000/XP/Vista) : www.pjio.com/temp/vieur.zip (http://www.pjio.com/temp/vieur.zip) - The bouncing ball should always be behind the advert.

*I intend on making this freely available to all games posted on pjio.com - embedded or otherwise.

It worked just fine. It was a bit odd that the new windows opened up in Internet Explorer, even though Firefox is set as my default browser. Are they just random ads, or somehow tied to content like google ads? (I got something about travelling in Boston.)

Is "Vieur" an acronym for something? It's a very strange name. How is it pronounced? My first guess would be vee-oor, but then I'm still saying pi-gee-oh instead of whatever you had in mind for pjio. :)

Edit: Oh, and I forgot to mention, I tested on Windows XP. (with SP2.)

These ads are tied to keywords and categories, you could display google ads if you really wanted to.

"Vieur" is pronounced Viewer - as in a person or thing that views.

I've updated the test, the advert is now clipped correctly.

It works fine on my PC, Windows XP professional SP2.
