Hi all,

I am in need of a 2D sprite artist for our next project. We have one sprite artist on board, but the project is much too big for one person and I'm looking for someone else who can match this style:

I'd prefer working with somone local (New York/New Jersey area), as I have had bad luck dealing with artists primarily over the internet. But if you can match the style and have a track record, that's more important.

If you fit the bill, please drop me a line with some art samples and rates. (admin@wadjeteyegames.com)

Thanks,

-Dave

Damn that's some impressive sprite work. Who did those?

His name is Ian Schlaepfer, and if you like his art you should check out his games (http://www.herculeaneffort.com). Hopefully he's not TOO good that nobody can match his style. :)

Hey Dave, congratulations on getting nomianted for that GDCA award. I think its cool that an indie operation like yours is getting recognition on the same level as something like Iron Lore, which has massive funding behind it.

If you need art assets to supplement an already established art direction, you should consider hiring Sismo Studio. I've been working with one of their artists for the past several months, and have been getting lots of high quality content for a low price. They're based in Argentina, but have a corporate infrastructure that allows them to consistently deliver on-time. I've been burned by flaky individual contract artists before, but they're the real deal, professional and talented.

Check out their site:

Thanks! I'll check them out.
