Hey Everyone,
I'm not sure if this is a business or technical question.
I was wondering if you could tell us what we are doing wrong on our site? we've got a page rank of 5, but when I punch in "role playing game" on Google I can't find a listing for our webpage anywhere. I keep hitting the next button and I see pages with lower rankings coming up but not ours. One thing that's odd is when I put in a search term like "regnow refund", our site comes up on the first google page. Has anyone got any ideas?
Here's our site:

The words 'role playing game' appear only one time on your site. This is the same amount of time as many other words on your site. And it is not emphasized in any way (like being in the title tag, or an h1 tag, or bolded, etc). Your site does not really focus its message on role playing games, so the search engines do not rank it highly for that.

Thanks Dustin. I made some changes as you suggested. Hopefully people will be able to find us though Google now. :)

It looks like you recently edited the page so the page we see and the page Google saw when it last crawled the page (on the 8th of November) is different.
It's a good idea to have those keywords in the TITLE but as 'Sillysoft' suggested, you'll need to get the most important keywords in a couple of times to get above those other 600,000 pages :D

actually I'm slightly sure google doesn't do that oldschool method of ranking. It's a complex system of how many other pages link to you and their rank etc. Look it up, it's actually pretty cool

There is a complex (and ever changing) ranking system but theres also a fairly complex keyword system too. It would be crazy if Google sorted the results by ranking only. Google wants to give you the pages that best suit what you're searching for, rather than pages that are just highly ranked and happen to have the words on their page somewhere. So a combination of both Ranking and Word Density (amongst other things) is how the results are sorted.
You'll find Google has now re-indexed the ausgamedev page so it should show up higher in the search results, but with 600,000 pages and the fact that "role playing game" is a well sought after search phrase you'd be lucky to get anywhere near the top 100 results.
You could try optimizing the page for extra keywords that combine with "role playing game" like "sci-fi" "free" "best" "mac" "windows" "download" etc.. For example, my own website wont show up very highly in a search for ( pocket pc game ) but it shows up in the first page for words ( pocket pc game download ) so it may be better to optimize for a more specialized search rather than something that is so obvious.
